This is fascinating insight as not only to the power of words but also some of their origins, agenda and purpose. Norman Vincent Peale, the author of "The Power of Positive Thinking" had it right but also mentioned that the practice also produced positive words that encouraged and built up all those around - I grew up, like many, in a turbulent home, where words often led to violence when I was very young - the model has been very difficult for me to break and I still struggle with it every day, though not as much as in the past but still there... The practice is really a kind of self love and the resultant words you speak become love to all others in turn...
